Here goes. With some part of your body touching the tree (the trunk or an exposed root rather than a hanging branch) you can make your first shot of the course.

The tree you are aiming for is straight ahead of you in the direction of the road. It's about 30 yards away and because I'm not so up on the names of trees I've described it as the V tree on account of it having two trunks. It's got a load of leaves around its base too. You really can't miss it. A good strong throw straight on should get you close and while we make this a par four, you should probably be able to do it in three. This is calculated to make you feel good about yourself as you continue the round. You're meant to think, hey this game is pretty good, I can do this.
