A lovely late summer bank holiday Monday was the chosen date for the Club's 3rd tournament of 2010, the Summer Watermelon. The park had received a fair amount of rain over the week beforehand, but the sun shone on a lovely afternoon. Once again, the southern extension of the course (the 4th to E-arrow and the 5th to One of Five) was skipped and the course took in 11 holes. Toria won the Ladies' melon with a very competitive 42 and scored a hole in one along the way. Ben took the Men's melon in a close duel with Richard. We had a nice drink at the Edinboro Castle after the round where we were joined by Dave and enjoyed the warm rays of the end of Summer. A small turnout but another enjoyable round - the club looked forward to the Autumn Aubergine with anticipation.
