THE 9th SPRING COCONUT

8th MAY 2011


No elections this year, but the Club convened with excitement for the 9th playing of the Spring Coconut. The weather was good and clear, and the course was in beautiful condition.

Both matches were closely contested and a few holes in one made the excitement all the more as we reached the end of the round, but in the end, Ben and Alys were victorious.
We then all headed to the Edinboro Castle for a drink and a chat about the round and the Summer to come. Fine weather ahead, we hoped!

NOTES

The Club played a pretty full course for the first time in a few tournaments - including the long extension to the E-Arrow tree - and added a 13th hole at the end to a Plane Tree with an Orange ring.

Ben, Lyndsay and Richard scored holes in one at the 11th and were awarded golden plums.


Richard joined the round at the 10th hole, scored a hole in one at the 11th and carded 11 over the 4 holes he played.
