THE 4th SPRING COCONUT

On Sunday 7th May 2006, the Club played the Second tournament of the year - the 4th Annual Spring Coconut.

The weather had been fine all weekend, if a little cloudy, and on the morning of the Tournament there was a certain risk of showers. Nevertheless a good turnout - including 3 newcomers to the sport - made their way to the Cumberland Lawn and the competition began in good spirits.

The Lawn was relatively empty and the trees were in fine leaf, allowing for some excellent scoring. Joining the fray at the 9th were Sophie, richard and Dusty, who soon picked up the hang of the game and by the 11th Richard was throwing as if he was born to it.

Aaron won the Men's Coconut by three shots and Liz took home the Women's title. the prizes were presented by Sophie.

We all took ourselves off to the Edinboro Castle at the conclusion of the round and a fine Sunday afternoon was had by all.
