THE 3rd SPRING COCONUT

8th MAY 2005

On Sunday 8th May 2005 the club held the 3rd Spring Coconut. It was decided that a later start time would be more convenient all round and despite some brief showers and windy spells the players were rewarded with a fine afternoon. The course was looking beautiful in the Spring sunshine in full blossom and was generally firm underfoot. Human obstacles were only encountered at the fourth with two young men enjoying an evening beer being flummoxed by the approaching frisbees. Oh, and some rude softballers once again.

Ten players - including 7 rookies - chose their discs at the first tee and we went off in two groups. Despite group two getting lost at the 7th, we played from 5.30 until 6.45 when we repaired to the Edinboro Castle for a round of drinks, some table football and then a trip to Wagamamas.

Ben broke his course record and retained the Men's Coconut. Jane W kept her hold on the Ladies' title and won her Second Spring Coconut. Both used Aerobies.

The standard was very high this season and it's hoped that many of our new members will return for the Summer Watermelon.

See you in July!
