THE 7th SPRING COCONUT 17th MAY 2009 |
Once again, the day for the Club's latest tournament opened with a deluge. Many potential players might have been put off by the conditions, but as Tee-time approached, the weather improved markedly. And as we began our round there was bright sunshine; the Frisbee golf gods were again smiling. The wind was a problem on some of the more exposed sections of the course, but the round was played in fine spirits - and for the first time in a while, we were all playing as one group. Everyone used aerobies or variations on the product and the scoring was impressive. Lyndsay, a newcomer to the game, was the worthy winner of the Ladies' Coconut - let's hope it's the first of many. Ben won the Men's section. We then all headed to the Edinboro Castle for lunch and in all it was a wonderful day. Here's hoping the same fine weather greets us for the Summer Watermelon!
