From the willow look towards the road and
right in front of you is the double trunked V Tree about thirty
yards away.
Turn right and you see a row of four trees,
blocked by one in front. The fourth in line is the hole, just
over the other side of a well trodden grass path. 20 yards.
Turn left and between two smaller trees
you'll see hole three about 40 yards away.
Hole four is a good way away, around 80
yards. It's an ash tree with a letter E and an arrow painted
on the far side of the trunk. There are two smaller trees about
halfway there. Watch out for the path towards the right.
Turn right,
back along the path and in a bit. The centre smallish tree of
a group of five, guarded at the front by a pair of similar trees
is the target. Notoriously difficult to putt out at. |
A right turn, looking way across the width
of the lawn. You won't be able to see the pine, as it's guarded
diagonally by another tree, but you can see its dark shadow.
There are a number of little hillocks and banks to the right.
About 80 yards.
A left turn and through the intimidating
holly bushes lies the next target. It's a leaning tree - very
popular with dogs!!! - and has purple leaves in late summer.
About 60 yards away.
Turn right and about 60 yards away, near
the hedge along the road lies a very big Horse Chestnut. This,
like the Pine, is well protected by its surrounding trees.
Another
right turn and along the hedge about twenty yards away is the
big Church Mound tree. Elevated and just next to the path used
by joggers, it's right next to the hedge - beware for out of
bounds. |
Turn right
and you'll see a big nobbly trunked tree in front of you. Way
beyond that, about 70 yards back across the lawn you'll see a
bank. The target is the far right of the two Birch trees on the
near side of the bank. A popular spot for resters, be careful. |
Turn right and straight in front of you
is a huge Horse Chestnut. It's about ten yards away, down the
bank.
Turning right again there is a bunch of
Horse Chestnuts up and down a few little banks. you are aiming
for the furthest one, about twenty five yards away. It's the
one nearest the path (out of bounds, remember), directly between
you and the playground.
The last
hole is the Stump near the gate of the park at the end of a row
of other trees along the hedge. It's a long way away (over 100
yards) and you'll likely find a lot of people in this open area,
so play carefully. IMPORTANT - The hole is successfully concluded
when your frisbee rests ON the stump, not when you hit it. |
